Safety First
To stay
safe in Quawn and any other website use our Safety Hints.
Quawn
is a great place to meet people. But you should be careful because some
people you meet online may be pretending to be younger than they really
are or they might want to be friends with you for the wrong reasons.
Rules to follow:
Tell your parents or guardians what you are doing
If you tell them
where you are hanging out online - and showing them if you want - you
will help them be comfortable with what you are doing.
Call Quawn
911 (under
help menu) if you need to.
All safety conscious websites have a button that will allow you to call
for immediate help – USE
IT.- At
Quawn,
use the 911
button (click on the button) to quickly tell our Staff and Moderators
about anything that makes you feel uncomfortable. We will check on it
right away. We will not tell anyone your name or personal information,
so you do not need to worry about anyone knowing you reported them.
DO NOT:
Do NOT give out your personal details
Don't give anyone your home address, your school, telephone number,
email address or mobile phone number. Be very cautious about who you
tell your real name to.
Do NOT meet in real life
It may not be safe, no matter how long you have known them online.
Do NOT talk to people who make you feel weird
If someone says stuff to you that you don't like or makes you feel
uncomfortable, just leave Quawn
or whatever website you are on - get away from them immediately, and let
us know by
calling 911 (under help menu).
Chances are, if they are making you uncomfortable, they may be doing
something they shouldn't with other kids too.
Do NOT engage
in sexual activity online
You will be banned from Quawn
and most other teenage sites for
using adult language and pretending to have sex (often referred to as
'cyber'). Don't take the risk of being banned.
